Dear Mr. Sargent: We now have four of your chairlifts installed, three in our townhouse in Galveston and the latest in our Houston home.

What a pleasure it is to sit in that chair and ascend or descend our stairs. They were installed within a minimum of time and the workmen even cleaned up the area leaving no mess.

We have had two chairlifts for three years with no service or repairs. That is GREAT!

My husband and I had to move my Mom in very unexpectedly a few weeks… ago. We live in a 2-story house and there was NO way that she could climb the stairs daily every day/night so we decided to have a ramp installed. Kent contacted Aaron at Greater Houston Stair Lifts and he immediately came out and met with him and they drew up the plans to start. As you know by researching, these things cost as much or more as a new vehicle!

We had gotten quotes from a few others, but we decided to go with Aaron because of the way he treated us. He knew what was most important to us and that was that mom was safe and secure and taken care of and he also knew the IMMEDIATE nature that we needed the lift installed. On December 23rd, Aaron called my husband and said “Kent I promised you that we would have your mom in there and using the stairwell before Christmas and I plan to keep my word.”

Needless to say, both my husband were ecstatic as we figured, due to the next day being Christmas Eve, that we surely would have to wait until after New Year’s to complete the project but I kid you not, Aaron and his helper (don’t know his name) went way above and beyond in the customer service department. It was late when they were finishing up, but Aaron was not leaving our house until he was sure that all three of us knew exactly how to operate the stair lift correctly and at no time did he rush any of us.

This my friends is true customer service and I hope that if you or your family find yourself in our situation someday, that you will please call him for your curved stair lift. Please feel free to message me for anything. These guys get TEN stars…Not just the normal Five!!!

We have had multiple interactions with Greater Houston Stair Lifts over the past few years and have been extremely pleased. We purchased a stair lift in 2009 from them and were in a difficult financial position. They were able to install a refurbished stair lift at an affordable price.

Fast forward two and a half years to May 2013. The lift had never had any issues and we were very pleased with the purchase. Two days ago, we encountered the first problem: the stair lift would give an error when attempting to move. I contacted Greater Houston Stair Lifts and they were able to find our contact information and schedule an appointment for later that day. Not only did they work us into their daily schedule, but they gave a courtesy call when they left their previous appointment to ensure we would be available.

Once onsite, they were extremely professional, courteous, and repaired a part that had become worn with age. The service fee for the call was extremely reasonable. To make a positive interaction even better, when the issue occurred again within 24hrs, they immediately came out and replaced the previously repaired part at no additional cost. They were adamant that, though the second repair took 2 hours, it should have been fixed correctly on the first visit and they were not comfortable charging for labor a second time.

I am very pleased with our experiences with Greater Houston Stair Lifts over the years and am happy to recommend them for anyone needing assistance in the Houston area. Their professionalism, courtesy, and integrity are apparent in their interactions with their customers.

I had contacted several other companies by phone and email and Aaron was the only one to call back and he did so the same day. He answered all of my initial questions and addressed my concerns on that phone call and made an appointment to come to our house the next day. He showed up on time and was very professional in helping to decide exactly the type of stair-lift would be best for us. Greater Houston Stair Lifts did excellent work on very short notice on installing a row for me to use with my rollator (walker). They customized the ramp to allow it to fit up against my deck and to work with our iron gate and to angle toward the street. If there is any interest, I would be more than glad for people to call me to ask questions.

I just wanted to let you know how much the stair lift has helped my husband’s recovery. Thanks to your fast installation, we didn’t have to worry about how he was going to get around the house after his release from the hospital. The compact design doesn’t interfere with anyone walking on the stairs and I love that the track doesn’t have any moving parts that might hurt our pets. I had no idea that it would be so simple
to install. In the 2 weeks we’ve had it, I love using it to move stacks of laundry baskets up and down the stairs. It was terrific for moving a large suitcase upstairs, too. Thanks for your help in selecting the right model for us and suggesting we get a doctor’s prescription to help with the pricing. It’s the best home improvement we’ve made to our home!

We are sending this note in regard to the bathtub lift seat and the suitcase ramps that we ordered from you. My Mother is 93 years old and she broke her ankle in 3 places. She was unable to take a regular bath until we got the lift seat for her. Now she can use her walker, get on the seat and be lowered into the bathtub to take her bath. She is so happy because she was very uncomfortable and cold using the bench that did not allow her to sit in the tub. Mom can walk around the house using her walker, but going down steps is very hard for her.

The suitcase ramps allow her to sit in her wheelchair and be wheeled down the steps and then she can use her walker. Both the bathtub lift seat and the suitcase ramps have made my Mother’s situation more comfortable for all of us and we really appreciate it. My Mother is not used to being handicapped and dependent upon other people and now she can be more comfortable and independent.

My 95-year old mother came to live with me on somewhat short notice. Since all of my bedrooms and baths are on the second floor I needed a stair lift for Mom to access those facilities. I take care of an elderly client and we had discussed a chair lift for his use due to his arthritis and the high stairs, typical of the beautiful older houses in Galveston. During another stay in the hospital he called me and asked to have a chair lift installed on the stairs when he returned home.

After checking the internet, I called Aaron Sargent with Greater Houston Stair Lifts as he was close to the Island and I liked his referrals and webpage. I called him that after-noon and we set up an appointment for the next morning. I met him at my clients house and was impressed by his professional attitude and understanding of the situation. He measured the stairs, explaining the difficulty of them was the shortened height of the rising due to the height of taller ceiling, and assured me that would not be a problem.

The relief for me was that he, understanding my dilemma with making this kind of decision, called my client at the hospital and took care of the financial arrange-ments and approval. He called me early that afternoon and was even able to schedule the installation for that very afternoon if my client was being released so that he would have access to them. What wonderful service and understanding. This was necessary and installation was scheduled the next morning.

Aaron arrived promptly with his helper, installed the lift in a matter of hours, and left everything clean and neat from the installation. He took a lot of time explain-ing the use and care of the lift making sure that I had a good understanding of everything. The use of it in a power outage, and with a remote for the upper and lower floors to call for them if needed, was an added bonus.

My client loves the lift and refers to it as being regal, and mentions this to me often. Since the chair easily folds for access to the stairs he mentioned that he would manually climb them at times. I asked him to always use the stairs in order to save the cartilage for normal walking which he does. He needed to have the chair adjusted and Aaron came out to perform this for him. He was glad that he had the chance to meet Mr. Sargent and had the same appreciation of his professional and personable attitude.

I highly recommend Mr. Aaron Sargent with Greater Houston Stair Lifts for any services that he provides and can assure a pleasant experience and a great product.

Dear Aaron: In the short time since you finished our installation, a number of the brothers have “tested” our stair lift and pronounced it superb. This lift will enable a number of our members to once again have access to the lodge hall on the second floor. As you know, ours was a difficult problem. The stairs are long (25 feet) and steep. And, we needed a stair lift that would accommodate 350 pounds. We contracted a number of vendors. You came out to visit us, measured and evaluated our staircase, and proposed a top quality solution at a very reasonable price.
